Home Depot’s analytics team faced several challenges with their reporting tools:

  • Lack of user-friendly access to SKU-level insights: While data was available, it required manually running SQL queries or refreshing reports, offering no intuitive or interactive interface to easily dive into individual product details.

  • Existing interfaces were aggregated at a category level, making it hard to track individual product performance.

  • There was no mobile-friendly solution, limiting decision-makers’ ability to access critical insights on the go, especially during high-impact sales events like Black Friday and Holiday Promotions, where real-time, SKU-specific data was vital for quick pricing and inventory decisions.

The Problem

I led the development of a solution that provided the necessary visibility for faster decision-making.

Key actions included:
✅ Creating dynamic SKU-level reporting dashboards, offering real-time insights into individual product performance.
✅ Automating hourly data updates, reducing reliance on static, outdated reports and increasing responsiveness.
✅ Implementing a CSV search parser, enabling teams to easily search and filter groups of SKUs, streamlining workflows and decisions.
